OUR PROCESS

Building a home is a major investment, and the process behind it matters just as much as the end result. See below how our design-build process brings together the collaboration of construction and design.

The Steps Behind Every Build

01

Preconstruction

We like to get involved early. Meeting during the design phase helps establish your project goals (concepts, budget, and timing) before anything else takes shape. We take a comprehensive planning approach so the full project team is organized, communicating clearly, and well-managed from the start.

02

Planning &
Permitting

Once the direction is set, we plan, coordinate, and finalize the documents needed to launch the project. This includes signed agreements, final architectural plans, detailed budgets, and the permits required for a project start.

03

Construction

With planning complete, our team manages construction along with our trusted subcontractors and long-standing trades for high-quality materials and craftsmanship. We stay customer-focused throughout, with clear communication and real-time photo updates so you always know where things stand as your home takes shape.

As we reach the final stages, you’ll walk the home with your project manager to review the details. Because we use quality trades and maintain consistent jobsite management during the build, punch lists stay minimal, which makes for a quicker and simplified move-in.

04

Post-Construction

Our warranty process really begins in pre-construction. That’s when we identify the best means and methods for your specific project and incorporate them into the plans. By making these decisions early, we reduce future maintenance and warranty issues. MG Construction takes a long-term approach to building a home that’s meant to last and one we’re proud to stand behind.

Our work is rooted in deep local experience. We’ve spent years building custom homes along the Gulf Coast, so we understand the codes, the climate, and what it takes to build durable, high-quality homes in this environment.

Our local roots shape the long-standing relationships we’ve built with local trades, suppliers, and subcontractors, who know our expectations and share our commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

We’re also intentional about our size. As a boutique custom home builder, we take on a select number of projects that our team can stay hands-on at the top level of communication, quality control, and client confidentiality we’re known for.

Every home gets focused attention, and every client works directly with the people who are actually building their home. It’s this combination that sets our process apart and delivers the luxury coastal homes we’re known for.
